Prior to his sitcom debut, T.O.'s acting career consisted of playing a stud receiver in Any Given Sunday and playing himself dealing with a groupie in a Monday Night Football intro. Obviously, not much prep time was needed for those two roles.
But a guest starring role on a sitcom requires a lot of work, right? Not for the Original 81.
"I had access to the script, but I didn't actually read it," T.O. said of his appearance on Under One Roof. "I kind of get bored reading stuff, so I just kind of breezed through my parts."
T.O. showed up for rehearsal, got a feel for the storyline, his lines and his cues and nailed the role. At least that's what the Hollywood glad-handers he's talked to told him.
T.O. success with minimal preparation shouldn't be a surprise. After all, this is a guy that led the NFL in touchdown catches despite barely cracking his playbook during his season under Bill Parcells' watch.
Oh, and when T.O. says he gets bored reading stuff, this here blog is a notable exception. He didn't actually say that, but I think it's safe to assume.
