NFL owners sound united
Avatar submitted by rss feed 1464 days ago
"NFL OWNERS SOUND UNITED: Unlike 2006 when the NFLPA gave a fractured group of NFL owners all of 45 minutes to accept their CBA extension proposal, which was opposed by only Bills owner Ralph Wilson and Bengals owner Mike Brown, NFL owners appear to be dug in for the next round of labor negotiations after opting out of the final two years of the current CBA. They'll now have two years in which to try to reach a new accord with the NFLPA where they'll no doubt try to reduce the players' share of the NFL pie which is 59.5% of total gross revenues. In 2010 if no agreement is reached the league will have an uncapped year for salaries. And then by March in 2011 the CBA would expire if still no new agreement was in place."
